I didn't want to forget
I've been meaning to create yet another blog, but I didn't want to forget or get lazy once I got home, therefore, here I am creating during my lunch break at work.
You know, comparative to sleeping at work, I think this looks a lot worse. There's not really anyway anyone could know I wasn't still "on the clock" at this point. I've got a sandwich next to me, but that's about it.
Anyway, this conversation just took place across the cubicle wall from me...
New guy: So do you actually use that coffee pot?
German Guy: Yeah, well, no, I used to. You see, I've got all this coffee here, but I've run out of filters, and haven't brought anymore in.
Random guy who popped by: Just use your sock! (chuckle)
German Guy: (slight pause) If I used my sock, I wouldn't need any coffee powder!
(pause)
Everyone: EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWW
Oh, and then yesterday there was the hour long discussion from the guy on the other side. He was on the phone with Dell trying to get repercussions from them. He's a "contracts expert" and they were trying to weasel him out of getting what he paid for. He was pissed, to say the least.
I didn't want to continue with my LiveJournal because I felt very...er...I felt above it, I guess. Which is kind of sad, considering I'm doing the same thing at Blogger. Still, it seems that there is a level of maturity that goes through the internet journaling world. There are the pre-teen journals: Xanga, deadjournal, and variations thereof; pre-teen/teen journal: LiveJournal; and finally, the generally accepted, Blog sites for older teens and adults. However, there is a bit of a difference with blogs - they tend to have a theme more or less. Either they are trying to be humorous, or they are genuinely cataloguing a particular event/hobby/etc in someone's life. I assume that is why they are generally more accepted. There is usually more of a purpose than simply "whine whine, I hate my mom, whine whine, my boyfriend dumped me, etc." Or the popular variation, "Today, I did this, this, this, then this, and now I'm going to bed. Tune in tomorrow when I do this!"
Disclaimer:(No offense to any of my friends, etc., of course you know I don't view you as less or any shit by what journaling venue you partake. This is just my explanation of why I have moved on to blogger, albeit hypocritical because I'm writing the same as at LJ.)
So, to end my rant, I'm going to say, that today I did this, this, this, and this...
And I'm feeling very happy.
And I'm listening to Blur -> Magpie
(LOLLERSKATES~!)
